Advanced Skills Triathlon Academy

Join us for an Advanced Skills Triathlon Academy, designed for Triathletes 11-16, who have finished a triathlon, or now ready for more Power to Push to the next level of athletic potential. This skills-packed weekend is perfect to kick-start your fitness or prepare for early season races of 200-300 meter Swim; 5-10 mi Bike; and 1.5 mile to 5k Run or Duathlons of similar distance.

Workshop includes:

  • Swim sessions include dry land, drills, time trial, training & race strategies.
  • Indoor spin bike sessions include drills, time trial, training, pacing & race strategies.
  • Run sessions include drills, time trial, training, pacing & race strategies.
  • Functional age appropriate strength session.
  • Gain transition efficiency with ease and speed.
  • Race confidently with proper preparation techniques and focused strategies.
  • Fuel & hydrate with healthy habits in training, racing and for a lifetime.
  • How to fit training and race planning in a busy lifestyle.
  • Suggested minimal activity to stay "tri fit" all year or take to next level.
  • Powerbar energy snacks provided; please bring snacks if allergies or preferences.
  • Coaching expertise: 3 USA Triathlon & Cooper certified & experienced coaches.

Qualifications:

  • 11 - 16 years old
  • Prior triathlon experience OR ability to complete distances recommended
  • Swim 2-4 lengths of the pool non stop
  • Bike 20-30 minutes non-stop
  • Comfortably run 1.5 miles non-stop

Athlete responsibilities:

  • A great attitude!

Registration

Registration limited to 20 participants, minimum of 10.

$115 for Cooper Fitness Center members ($135 for non-members) through March 15, 2010
$130 for Cooper Fitness Center members ($150 for non-members) through April 9, 2010

  • Refund policy: Participants who cancel on or before 4/8/10 will receive a 100% refund. There are no refunds for any cancellations after 4/8/10. A minimum number of attendees will be required for the camp to proceed. If this minimum is not met, a full refund will be given to the registered attendees.
